Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. To help prevent possible injury, turn the start switch off when changing fuel filters or water separator elements. Clean up fuel spills immediately.
Drain the fuel from the fuel tank into a suitable container. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.

Remove the bolts and the access door that is located above fuel tank (3).
Disconnect two harness assemblies (2) from fuel tank (3).
Disconnect hose assemblies (1) from pump (4).
Disconnect two hose assemblies (8) from fuel tank (3).
Remove the cover from motor (5). Disconnect harness assembly (6) from motor (5).
Remove strap assembly (7) from fuel tank (3).
Attach a suitable lifting device to fuel tank (3) and remove the tank from the machine. The weight of the fuel tank is approximately 29 kg (65 lb). Installation Procedure

Install strap assembly (7) around fuel tank (3).
Connect harness assembly (6) on motor (5). Install the cover on motor (5).
Connect two hose assemblies (8) on fuel tank (3).
Connect hose assemblies (1) on fuel pump (4).
Connect two harness assemblies (2) on fuel tank (3).
Install the access door and the bolts that are located above fuel tank (3).
Fill the fuel tank with fuel. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
