Shift solenoid (3) is also mounted on top of the manifold. This manifold is located behind the operator platform.The auxiliary pump supplies oil in order to operate the parking brake and the pump supplies oil in order to shift the propel motors. The machine ECM controls parking brake solenoid (2) and controls shift solenoid (3). The parking brake is engaged when the brake solenoid is de-energized. The propel motors operate in the low speed range when the shift solenoid is de-energized.

The compartment behind the operator platform provides access to this manifold.When parking brake solenoid (2) is energized, the auxiliary hydraulic pump provides oil to the port "PPB" of the brake release manifold. This oil flows through needle valve (7), through pressure reducing valve (8), and out port "BRK" of the manifold. Oil is directed from port "BRK" to the propel parking brakes. The pressure reducing valve limits the pressure in the parking brake circuit to a maximum of 3800 345 kPa (550 50 psi). Brake release pressure can be measured at the pressure tap (9), which is located in port "G" of the manifold.Note: When needle valve (7) is closed, the accessory pump can be used in order to manually release the parking brakes. Accumulator (4), diverter valve (5), and pressure switch (6) are part of the system that manually releases the brakes.
