Right Console (1) Propel lever (2) Automatic speed control dial (3) Parking brake switch (4) Propel mode switchThe console to the right of the operator seat contains propel lever (1), automatic speed control dial (2), parking brake switch (3), and propel mode switch (4) .The machine moves forward when propel lever (1) is moved out of the center (NEUTRAL position) and toward the front of the machine. The machine moves backward when the lever is moved out of the center and toward the rear of the machine. The farther the operator moves the control lever toward the front of the machine or toward the back of the machine, the faster the machine travels. The machine stops when propel lever (1) is returned to the NEUTRAL position. This is the primary braking method. The position sensor (not shown) at the base of the propel lever generates two 500 Hz PWM signals. These signals are sent to the side console ECM in order to control machine speed. The first PWM signal duty cycles vary from 10 percent to 90 percent, based on the position of the propel lever. The second PWM signal is inverted compared to the first signal. When both signal duty cycles are at 50 percent 10 percent, the propel lever is in the NEUTRAL position.Automatic speed control dial (2) controls the sensitivity of the propel lever by limiting the maximum speed at which the machine will travel when the propel lever is in the FULL SPEED (forward or reverse) position. Maximum travel speed is proportional to the position of the automatic speed control dial: the farther the dial is rotated counterclockwise, the slower the maximum travel speed, and the farther the dial is rotated clockwise, the faster the maximum travel speed. Below maximum travel speed, machine speed is proportional to the position of the propel lever. When the automatic speed control dial is in the MINIMUM SPEED position, the machine will not move and the parking brake will engage after a preset time delay.Parking brake switch (3) is a push button switch with two positions. The parking brake switch is in the ON position when the switch is pushed in. The switch is in the OFF position when the switch is pulled out.Parking brake switch (3) controls the parking brakes. The parking brakes are spring applied and hydraulically released. The brakes engage when the parking brake switch is depressed. The brakes are released when the switch is pulled up. However, the operator cannot release the parking brakes when the propel lever is out of the NEUTRAL position. If the parking brake switch is in the OFF position when the engine is started, the brakes are disengaged after a preset time delay.Propel mode switch (4) is a rocker switch with three positions. The front position of the switch is the ROADING position. The middle position of the switch is the HIGH SPEED position. The rear position of the switch is the LOW SPEED position.Propel mode switch (4) provides
