A disabled machine may be towed up to 400 yards (365 m) if the parking brake is disconnected. Towing the machine greater distances is not recommended.
When working on the rotochamber with the safety lever in the "brake off" position a sudden loss of air pressure will let the rod move suddenly.
To Disconnect The Parking Brake:
1. Put the safety lever in the "brake off" position. 2. Remove the pin from rod end. (16G Shown)
Before operating the machine, connect the rotochamber for the parking brake.
To Connect The Parking Brake:
1. Put the safety lever in the "brake off" position. 2. Push the lever up and make an adjustment to the rod end until the lever has a small amount of free movement. Install pin.
