Remove pump handle (6) from the retaining clamps. Turn pump control (7) clockwise until the valve is fully closed. Install pump handle (6) into cab tilt pump (8) in order to operate the pump.See Illustration 11 for additional information.
Operate manual cab tilt pump (8) in order to raise cab (10) .Intermediate Tilt Position
Do not move the machine while the cab is tilted. Read and understand the instructions and heed the warnings in the Operation and Maintenance manual. Personal injury or death could occur from machine movement while the cab is tilted.Return the cab to the level position with the cab mounting pins installed and properly secured before moving the machine.
Install cab tilt brace before working under raised cab to prevent the cab from falling which could result in serious injury or death.
Note: Cab tilt brace (9) must be installed, if cab (10) is not fully tilted.
When cab (10) is raised to the intermediate position, install cab tilt brace (9) .
Remove cab tilt brace (9) from the left side fender.
Operate cab tilt pump (8) and partially tilt cab (10) . Install mounting pin (5B) into the lower end of cab tilt brace (9) at the left front pin position. This pin is supplied with the cab tilt brace.
Raise cab (10) further. Install mounting pin (5A) into the upper end of the cab tilt brace at the mounting pin hole.Note: You must install both of the pins into cab tilt brace (9) with the cab in the intermediate tilt position.
The cab is now secured in the intermediate tilt position.Note: The cab tilt pump should NOT be actuated with the cab tilt brace in place.
Turn pump control (7) in a counterclockwise direction in order to lower cab (10) and allow the cab to be supported by the cylinder support.
Remove pump handle (6) from cab tilt pump (8) .Full Tilt Position
Crushing Hazard: Do not go under the tilted cab or work below the tilted cab unless the tilt cylinder brace is properly installed in the intermediate tilt position or the cab is fully tilted and the cab tilt cylinder is fully extended. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could cause serious injury or death. Read and understand the Operation and Maintenance Manual before performing service/maintenance on the machine.
Note: The cab tilt cylinder meets the performance requirements of "ISO 13333:1994(E)" when the cab tilt cylinder is fully extended in the support of the fully tilted cab.Note: Never tilt the cab to the full tilt position on uneven ground.
Do not operate the machine while the cab is in the full tilt position. Severe damage to the machine could result.
Perform Steps 1 through 9 above.
