When finished operating in remote control, refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8519, "Return to Manual Operation" section to return the machine to manual operation. By using the proper procedure, all (key-on) machine power will be cut and the remote control session will be terminated. To recover the remote control session, return to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8519, "Before Operation" section and follow the startup procedure for the Operator Station system.Software Stop (Complete/Immediate Shutdown)
The following situations will automatically disengage the remote control system and place the machine in a Complete/Immediate shutdown. In this state, the system immediately engages the parking brake, engages the implement lockout, and cuts power to the machine. To recover the remote control session, return to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8519, "Before Operation" section and follow the startup procedure for the Operator Station system.
Implements will remain in position when the machine shuts down. Approach the machine with caution.
Commanded Stop
The engine is stopped, and the machine iscompletely turned off. During this mode, the blue indicator is on solid and the red indicator is flashing. A Commanded Stop is caused by:
Pressing the Remote Shutdown switchDiagnostic Stop
The engine is kept running, but remote control operation is stopped. Depending on the fault, the operator may be able to reactivate and stay active for 30 seconds at a time, or may have to fix it before any RC operation can continue. The RC system commands the engine to shut down after 5 minutes. During this mode, the blue indicator light is on solid. The engine will usually be left in low idle except in scenarios where high idle is beneficial (such as a stop due to high engine temp).A Diagnostic Stop is caused by:
A diagnostic or event on the machine, most likely a level 3.
Entering a machine pitch or roll condition exists (exceeds 35 degrees)Level 3 stopThe highest level diagnostic or event present is determined from the RC System and all machine subsystem ECMs. If the highest level is 3, a Level-3 Stop is performed. Most level-3 conditions can be overridden for 30 seconds. The override is initiated by reactivating RC (holding the horn for 3 seconds). The implement and parking brake switch must be cycled to the engaged state before regaining the remote control override session. Full functionality can be regained only after the cause
