To prevent possible bodily injury, make sure hot hydraulic oil has cooled and all pressure is released from the hydraulic system.
Start By:a. Disable tow point cylinders.b. Tag and identify all lines and electrical connections. 1. Disconnect two electrical connectors (1) and cut two cable ties (2). 2. Disconnect electrical connector (3) and cut wire tie (4). 3. Disconnect electrical connector (5). 4. Remove four lines (6). Cap and plug immediately. 5. Remove four lines (7). Cap and plug immediately. Fittings may have to be moved to gain access to the four bolts.6. Remove four bolts (8) and remove right grade control & hopper hoist valve. For installation, reverse removal steps.End By:Enable tow point cylinders.Disassemble & Assemble Right Grade Control & Hopper Hoist Valve Group. 5479-017
Start By:a. remove right grade control & hopper hoist valve
Mark the grade slope valve (2) and the hopper hoist valve (3), (back side of photo), to their respective side on valve housing (4).
1. Remove four bolts (1) and remove grade slope valve (2). 2. Remove four O-rings (5).3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to remove hopper hoist valve (3). 4. Remove two valves (6). 5. Remove four O-rings (7) and backup rings (8).6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for opposite side. Spools can only be removed from its test port side.7. Remove two spools (9). 8. Remove two O-rings (10) and four backup rings (11). 9. Remove plug (12). 10. Remove O-ring (13). For assembly of the right grade control & hopper hoist valve, reverse disassembly steps. All valve components must be cleaned and inspected before assembly. If any components are worn beyond recommended limits they must be replaced. Lubricate all moving parts with clean oil during assembly. Assemble valve with all new seals.
