The new software resolves an issue on certain machines where the cooling map configuration parameter is shown as "Unavailable" and "High Ambient" cannot be correctly selected. This situation may result in over-heating, primarily in high ambient temperature conditions. Ensure that version 2017A or later of Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) is being used.
Use Cat ET to install 533-0512 Engine Software. Refer to Troubleshooting, ECM Software - Install for the correct procedure.Note: Factory Passwords are required. Refer to Troubleshooting, Factory Passwords.
Use Cat ET to set the fan configuration to "Viscous Clutch #1".
Use Cat ET to set the cooling map configuration to "High Ambient".
