Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove insulation assembly (1).

Remove the bolts and upper backing strips. Remove the bolts and cover group (2). Note: Discard the gasket and use a new gasket for assembly.

Loosen strap assembly (5). Remove bolts (3) and retainer assemblies (4). Remove catalyst (6) from retainer assemblies (4). Repeat for the other side. Note: For assembly purposes, mark the location from where each catalyst is removed.

Remove insulation assembly (7). Repeat for the other side. Note: Discard the gasket and use a new gasket for assembly.

Remove the right side tube assembly from pressure sensor group (10). Remove tube assemblies (9a), (9b), and (9c). Note: Note the location of the clip for tube assembly (7a) for assembly.
Remove the cover plate and disconnect the harness assembly and cables for NOx sensor group (11) and (12). Remove NOx sensor group (11) and (12). Note: For assembly purposes, protect the ceramic element of NOx sensor group (11) and (12).Note: Take caution in handling and storing the spacers. The spacers are fragile.

Remove fluid containment plate (14) from the electrical enclosure group.
Remove plate (13) from the electrical enclosure group.

Disconnect air and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) lines (18) and (19). Remove insulation assembly (20).
Remove the bolts and injector group (16). Note: Note the orientation of the injector for assembly purposes. Take precaution in removing the injector.
Disconnect harness assembly (15). Remove the bolts and spacers for temperature sensors (17). Remove temperature sensors (17). Note: Take caution in handling and storing the spacers. The spacers are fragile.
