1 2 6N-8942 Bolt Use the following procedure in order to tighten the connecting rod bolt:
1. Before assembly, lubricate the seating faces of the bolts and nuts and the threads of the bolts with clean engine oil.
2. Tighten the nuts of the connecting rod bolts to 82 8 N m (60 6 lb ft).
3. Again, tighten the nuts of the connecting rod bolts to an additional angle (F) of 120 5 degrees.
A - - Diameter of the connecting rod bore for the bearings for crankshaft journal with bolts torqued is 103.500 0.013 mm (4.0748 0.0005 inch).
B - - Diameter of the connecting rod bearing for crankshaft journal with bolts torqued is 97.095 to 97.153 mm (3.8226 to 3.8249 inch).
C - - Distance between the center of the bore for the bearing for piston pin to the center of the bore for the crankshaft journal is 261.62 mm (10.300 inch).
D - - Diameter of the connecting rod bore for the bearing for piston pin is 55.436 0.013 mm (2.1825 0.0005 inch).
E - - Bore of 4P-8380 Bushing for the piston pin is 50.830 0.008 mm (2.0012 0.0003 inch).

H - - Do not use a torch to heat the connecting rod.
Maximum length for heating the connecting rod during installation of bearing for the piston pin is 89 mm (3.5 inch).
In order to assemble the connecting rod bearings, length (H) may be heated from 175 to 260 °C (347 to 468 °F)
