Modem - Configuration
Note: The modem is a purchased option.
Connect a computer equipped with UPSView to the board for the parallel cabinet interface (PCI) terminal "J6" in the system cabinet.
Boot up the computer and execute UPSView application.
Select "Connection" drop-down menu and select "Connect".

UPSView Connect Select "Enter Password" menu option in order to view the "Enter User Name / Password" dialog box.

Enter Password
Enter a valid "User Name" and "Password".Note: A "User Name" and a "Password" are required from Active Power to enable the modem. Contact Caterpillar technical support for more information.
Select the "Op. Params" drop-down menu.

Select "Op. Group 5: Internal CAN Enable, Modem Enable" from the "Op. Params." drop-down menu.

Set the "Enter new valve for Modem Enable" to "1" and press "Send".
