Start By:a. Remove bucket cylinders. Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. 1. Remove lip seals (7) and lip seals (16) from both sides of bearing sleeves (8) and (17).2. Use tooling (C) in order to remove bearing sleeve (8) from cylinder assembly (9).3. Use tooling (C) in order to remove bearing sleeve (17) from rod assembly (15).4. Install the bucket ejector cylinder in tooling (A). The weight of the bucket ejector cylinder is 40 kg (88 lb).5. Remove bolts (19) and washers (20) that hold head (18) to cylinder assembly (9).6. Use tooling (A) in order to slide rod assembly (15), with head (18), out of cylinder assembly (9).7. Remove wear ring (11) and seal assembly (12) from piston (13).8. Use tooling (B) in order to remove nut (10). Remove piston (13) and washer (14) from rod assembly (15).9. Slide cylinder assembly (9) on to rod assembly (15). Install bolts (19) and washer (20) that hold head (18) to cylinder assembly (9). Hand tighten bolts (19).10. Remove head (18) and cylinder assembly (9) from rod assembly (15) as a unit.11. Remove bolts (19), washers (20) and head (18) from cylinder assembly (9).12. Remove wiper seal (6), U-cup seal (5), seal assembly (4), wear ring (3), backup ring (2) and O-ring seal (1) from head (18).Assemble Bucket Cylinders
Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Lubricate all seals with clean hydraulic oil during assembly. 1. Install U-cup seal (5), seal assembly (4), wear ring (3), backup ring (2) and O-ring seal (1) on head (18).2. Apply 7M-7456 Bearing Mount Compound to the bore of head (18). Use tooling (B) in order to install wiper seal (6) to the bore of head (18).3. Install head (18) on cylinder assembly (9). Install bolts (19) and washers (20). Tighten the bolts by hand. Carefully install rod assembly (15) in cylinder assembly (9).4. Remove bolts (19) and washers (20). Remove head (18) and rod assembly (15) as a unit, from cylinder assembly (9).5. Install washer (14) on rod assembly (15).6. Install piston (13) on rod assembly (15).7. Apply 4C-5593 Thread Lubricant to the thread end of rod assembly (15). Install nut (10). Use tooling (B) in order to tighten nut (1) to a torque of 1600 160 N*m (1200 120 lb ft).8. Install wear ring (11) and seal assembly (12) on piston (13).9. Install cylinder assembly (9) on rod assembly (15). Install bolts (19) and washers (20) that hold head (18) to cylinder assembly (9). Tighten bolts (20) when the rod is fully extended. Tighten bolts
