Explanation of date coding for Cylinder packs: The date code is located on the tamper resistant part number label attached to the box. The date code is formatted as DDMMYYXXX (for example: a box marked with a date code of 1512980HL would indicate a part manufactured on December 15th, 1998 at plant number 0HL).

Submit one claim for all Remanufactured cylinder packs, short blocks, long blocks, and engines removed from Parts Stock.
TEPS/MEPS dealers are reimbursed for recalled Parts Stock by returning the affected Parts Stock to their administering Caterpillar dealer for replacement.
Parts Disposition
U.S. and Canadian Dealers
Any parts removed from Parts Stock should be returned in your next core shipment. PLEASE IGNORE THE NORMAL 15 DAY HOLDING PERIOD REQUIREMENT. Cylinder packs should be consolidated in a case by themselves, if quantities warrant. The case should be marked PI7413. All parts returned must be accompanied by a Core Credit Request (CCR) form and should be marked "warranty". This will ensure 100% core credit for the returned parts.
