Remote purge manifold for the front wheel brakes
(1) Purge valve for the service brake and retarder section of the right front wheel brake
(2) Purge valve for the service brake and retarder section of the left front wheel brake
Connect the transparent tube to purge valve (2) for the service brake and retarder section of the left front wheel brake. Put the other end of the tube into a suitable container for collecting the hydraulic oil.
Start the engine. Allow the braking system oil pressure to increase to the cut-out pressure. Keep the engine running at low idle throughout the air removal procedure.
Have an assistant depress and hold down the service brake pedal. Hold the brake pedal in this position throughout Step 4.
Open purge valve (2). As the hydraulic oil flows through the tube, look for air bubbles in the oil. Allow the oil to flow into the container until no air bubbles are visible. Tighten the air purge valve. Release the brake pedal.
Move the retarder control lever to the full ON position. Leave the retarder control lever in this position throughout Step 6.
Open purge valve (2). Allow the oil to flow into the container until no air bubbles are visible. Tighten the air purge valve. Move the retarder control lever to the OFF position.
Repeat Step 1 through Step 6 for the service brake and retarder section of the right front wheel brake at purge valve (1) on the remote purge manifold..

(3) Purge valve for the service brake and retarder section of the left rear wheel brake
Connect the transparent tube to purge valve (3) for the service brake and retarder section of the left rear wheel brake. Put the other end of the tube into a suitable container for collecting the hydraulic oil.
Have an assistant depress and hold down the service brake pedal. Hold the brake pedal in this position throughout Step 10.
Open purge valve (3). As the hydraulic oil flows through the tube, look for air bubbles in the oil. Allow the oil to flow into the container until no air bubbles are visible. Tighten the air purge valve. Release the brake pedal.
Move the retarder control lever to the full ON position. Leave the retarder control lever in this position throughout Step 12.
Open purge valve (3). Allow the oil to flow into the container until no air bubbles are visible. Tighten the air purge valve. Move the retarder control lever to the OFF position.

(4) Purge valve for the service brake and retarder section of the right rear wheel brake
Repeat Steps 8 through 12 for the service brake and retarder section of the right rear wheel brake at purge valve (4).
After the air has been removed, make sure that all the air purge valves are tightened.
Stop the engine. Fill the hydraulic tank, if necessary. Note: If the brakes feel soft during the first few hours of operation, repeat
