Move the machine to a smooth, horizontal location that is away from operating machines and away from personnel.
Place the steering control lever in the NEUTRAL position.
Engage the parking brake.
Fully retract the counterweight.
Stop the engine.
Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
Verify that the implement lockout switch is in the UNLOCK position.
Move the thumb wheel for the counterweight control to the EXTEND position. The counterweight should move outward to the neutral position.
Move the control levers through the full range of travel several times. This movement will relieve any pressure that may be present in the implement hydraulic system.
Make sure that the pressure in the entire hydraulic system has been released. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "System Pressure Release" for the detailed procedure to release the system pressure.

Remove the cover from the service tool connector port.
Connect Tooling (T2) to service tool connector port (E1).

Remove bolts (3) and cover (4).
Remove sun gear (5).Note: The thread in shaft (5) is M16 X 2 - 6H.Test Procedure
Start the machine and run the engine at LOW IDLE.
Depress the brake/deceleration pedal.
Release the parking brake.
Select the highest maximum ground speed setting.
Increase engine speed to HIGH IDLE.
Move the speed and direction control to the FORWARD position.
While the speed and direction control is in the FORWARD position, move the control to the full LEFT position (past detent).
Slowly release the brake/deceleration pedal.

Check the following items:
Engine speed
Drive pressure for the left pump
Drive pressure for the right pump
Speed of the left drive motor
Speed of the right drive motor
The engine speed should be 2100 10 rpm.
The drive pressure for the front pump should be 6750 3250 kPa (979 471 psi).
The drive pressure for the right pump should be 6750 3250 kPa (979 471 psi).
The speed of the left drive motor
