Removal Procedure
Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Park the machine on a flat, level surface. Lower the bucket to the ground. Chock the wheels in order to keep the machine from rolling when the drive shaft is removed.

Remove bolts (1) and straps (2) .

Remove nuts (3) .

Remove bolts (5) and straps (6) .
Use two people to remove front drive shaft (4) . The weight of front drive shaft (4) is approximately 43 kg (95 lb).Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Use two people to carefully position front drive shaft (4) . The weight of front drive shaft (4) is approximately 43 kg (95 lb).
Install straps (6) and bolts (5) . Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 70 10 N m (52 7 lb ft).

Install nuts (3) .
