Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

Disconnect hose assembly (1) and hose assembly (7).
Disconnect tube assembly (2).
Disconnect hose (3).
Remove bolts (4).
Remove bolts (6).
Remove bolts (5).
Remove air compressor (8). Installation Procedure

Position air compressor (8).
Install bolts (5).
Install bolts (4).
Install bolts (6).
Tighten bolts (4) to the proper torque.
Tighten bolts (6) to the proper torque.
Connect hose (3).
Connect tube assembly (2).
Connect hose assembly (1) and hose assembly (7).
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

Connect hose (3).
Connect tube assembly (2).

Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
