Problem
Some 7T5596 Control Groups (throttle position sensors) which are used on 3406B PEEC Engines were assembled using a snap ring that was too small. If the snap ring moves out of position, it could result in a malfunction of the sensors.

Parts Needed
Dealers will need to order parts for this Program. 1 - 7T5596 Control Group
Action Required
Parts Stock Check all 7T5596 Control Groups in parts stock. Control groups with a serial number of Cat 1000 - Up are good. Control groups with a serial number below Cat 1000 must be purged from parts stock. The serial number is on the end of the control group below the part number. Affected Product Check the 7T5596 Control Group which is located on the truck cab. The serial number is on the end of the control group below the part number. If the control group has a serial number of Cat 1000 - Up, they are good and no further action is required. If the control group has a serial number below Cat 1000, they must be replaced. Install a new control group.
