Illustration 27 g06184272The 3D R2-ECM communicate with the 3D GRADE display over the Ethernet and the Wi-Fi or over the Ethernet cable only. Depending on the R2-ECM option that was ordered and installed on the machine from factory, the Ethernet and the Wi-Fi option allows the communication with display either using the Ethernet cable (back connector of the display) or wirelessly using the Wi-Fi.The 3D R2 ECM contains the operating software of the 3D system, the required licenses, the 3D Cat project library, the 3D system setting, and calibrations. The 3D project library includes the 3D system geometry and the projects (Office, Design, and the Field) data.The 3D R2 ECM includes an additional IMU sensor to measure the body tilt angle. The additional IMU sensor will require an initial calibration and its values are only used in the 3D system calculation.The IMU sensor communicates with machine ECM over the CAN Bus, and the machine ECM provides the R2 ECM with the values. The machine ECM provides the 3D R2 ECM with the Cat GRADE 2D system calibrations, setting, machine, and linkage dimensions that is calculated and stored on the machine ECM over the CAN bus.The 3D R2 ECM communicates with the RH/LH GNSS receivers, the SNRxxx radio, the alarm, heading, and the tilt bucket sensors over the CAN bus. The 3D R2 ECM also communicates with the light bars using either the CAN bus or the serial port cables. The SNM940 radio communicates with R2 ECM over the Ethernet cables.
