New software for Product Link is now available. The new 325-6574 Communication Software Gp replaces the former 311-8377 Communication Software Gp. The new 325-6576 Communication Software Gp replaces the former 311-8375 Communication Software Gp .The new software for Product Link 121 has the following enhancements:
Improvement to the operating system for stability of flash memory
Improvements to the GPS algorithm
Improvement to the registration process of the PL321 when the PL121 was previously registered as a PL121 stand-alone
Event messages will now appear in PL121 Message Queue in CAT ET. This improvement will signify "time/geo-fence" alarms that were being sent.
The PL121 will now send time fence alarms when the engine is started outside of the time fence. Also, the PL121 will send only new "time geo-fence" messages when the messages occur. The PL121 will not send repeated alarms that were already active. Consecutive day alarm messages will still be provided in the daily status message.The new software for Product Link 300 has the following enhancements:
PL300 software now reports combined fuel usage for machines with dual engines.
PL300 software minimizes the chance of receiving "Last Known Position" status when the Product Link is in Power Mode 2 or Power Mode 3.
PL300 software will detect a keyswitch OFF more promptly in order to initialize the sync clock arbitration process again. When the keyswitch is turned from OFF to ON, this enhancement will avoid temporary SYNC clock master changes.
Improvements will ensure that the Service Meter Hours (SMH) for Product Link do not reset to zero.
Improvements will ensure that the Product Link does not deregister itself.The new software for Product Link 121 and Product Link 321 has the following enhancements:
Change to the power mode in order to better balance the functionality versus power consumption while the Product Link is in the key off mode.
Additional diagnostics that are displayed in CAT ET were added for troubleshooting communications with the communications satellites.
A change has been made in order to ensure multiple administration messages and registration messages are not reported unnecessarily.In order to utilize the full functionality, the system requires the latest version (2007Cv1.0) of Caterpillar Electronic Technician (CAT ET).
