Note: One side of the equalizer bar has the part number and the identification "FRONT". This side of the equalizer bar must be toward the front of the machine.

Put equalizer bar (8) in position on Tooling (B) . Fasten the equalizer bar with a wire to Tooling (B) . Put equalizer bar (8) in position under the machine.Note: Do not clean the inside diameter of seals (10) with gasoline, naphtha, or other solvents which leave a film after drying.
Clean the inside diameter of seals (10) with Tooling (D) . Apply Tooling (E) to the inside diameter of seals after cleaning. Allow the primer to dry for 2 minutes before you apply Tooling (F) or (G) to the inside diameter of the seals.
Apply a heavy coat of oil to the seal bores on each end of the equalizer bar.

Put spacer (9) in position on each side of the equalizer bar and tape spacer (9) in position.

Put equalizer bar (8) in position in the equalizer bar saddle with Tooling (B) .
Apply Tooling (J) to the inside diameter of the center bearing on the equalizer bar.

Note: Make sure that the Tooling (H) is not permitted to get into the bearing area of the equalizer bar.
Clean pin (7) with Tooling (D) .
Apply Tooling (H) to the bores of the equalizer bar saddle.

Use Tooling (B) to make an alignment of the bores in the equalizer bar saddle with the bore in the equalizer bar. Push equalizer bar center pin (7) into the equalizer bar saddle and the equalizer bar. Push equalizer bar center pin (7) as far as possible.
Use Tooling (C) to install equalizer bar center pin (7) . The end of the equalizer bar center pin must be even with the rear surface of the equalizer bar saddle.

Put plate (6) in position on the equalizer bar saddle. Install the bolts that hold the plate in place.

Put Tooling (A) in position under the equalizer bar. Push up the side of the equalizer bar. Remove wood blocks (2) under the track roller frame.

Install a 50.8 mm (2 inch) piece of bar stock (1) between the equalizer bar and the frame, as shown. This will keep the equalizer bar in the original position when the track roller frame is installed. Remove tooling (A) .

Note: The pin outside diameter and the seal inside diameter have an interference fit. A heavy coat of oil on the pin and the seal will be required.
Make an alignment of the bore in the equalizer bar and the bores in the track roller frame. Install equalizer bar end pin (4) with the tapered end toward the front of the machine. Install the pin so that the pin is flush at the rear.

Tighten bolts (3) and the nuts that hold the equalizer bar end pin in place. Tighten the bolts and nuts to a torque of 1350 150 N m (1000 110 lb ft).End By:
