Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Open both access doors on the left side of the machine.

Remove charge pressure relief valve (1) from valve body (2) .

Note: The charge pressure relief valve is preset at the factory.
Carefully remove cap (3), locknut (4), and gaskets (9) without turning adjustment screw (5) .
Remove O-ring seals (8), (7), and (6) from the charge pressure relief valve.Installation Procedure
Note: Check all O-ring seals and gaskets for wear or damage. Use new replacement parts, if necessary.

Install O-ring seals (6), (7), and (8) to the charge pressure relief valve.
Carefully install gaskets (9), locknut (4), and cap (3) without turning adjustment screw (5) .

Install charge pressure relief valve (1) to valve body (2) .
Close both access doors on the left side of the machine.
