Drum Replacement
A. Drum Replacement
1. Use a chisel pointed bar at the front of drum to carefully roll drum into the yoke.B. Drum Replacement Vibratory Side
1. Replace bolts holding the shock mounts to the yoke. 2. Replace vibratory motor by pushing straight into vibratory coupling and replacing bolts holding motor in place. C. Drum Replacement, Drum Drive Motor Side
1. Replace bolts holding drum drive motor mount to yoke. 2. Reconnect hoses to drum drive motor. D. Drum Scraper Replacement
1. Check condition of scraper points and replace if they show signs of excessive wear. a. To replace scraper points, drive the retainer pin out with a hammer and drift. b. Place new scraper point on bar and line up holes with drift pin. c. Lock the new scraper point in position by driving pin in the hole. When installing the pin,' make certain that the raised locking ears point toward cutting edge of the scraper point.2. Attach a hoist or other proper lifting device to the scraper assembly and lift into position.3. Replace any shims removed during disassembly and replace the six bolts, but do not tighten. 4. Adjust the scraper bar so there is 1/4" clearance between scraper points and drum. Tighten scraper bar mounting bolts. 5. Remove blocks from under yoke and inside steer pivot.E. Blade Replacement
1. Slowly drive machine forward until blade yoke meets pivot lugs. 2. Replace pivot lug clamps and bolt in place. 3. Remove blocks from under blade. 4. Reconnect blade cylinders to block.
