Machines that are equipped with heavy lift have a high-pressure setting and a low pressure setting for the main relief valve. A switch on the right-hand console (see Illustration 6) activates the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve directs pilot pressure to the pilot oil port on the main relief valve. The pilot oil pressure is ported through the valve to move a piston that creates a higher spring force on the main relief valve. The increase of spring force on the main valve causes the relief pressure in the main hydraulic system to rise.Quick Coupler Solenoid

If equipped, the switch for the quick coupler control is located on the right console.
LOCKED - Move the switch to this position in order to engage the quick coupler onto the work tool.
UNLOCKED - Move the switch for the quick coupler to the UNLOCKED position in order to extend the wedge. Use this position only during the coupling or uncoupling of the work tool. The hydraulic system is pressurized when the switch is in this position.The "Quick Coupler" Function provides the operator a quick method of changing attachments. The function is activated when switch on the right-hand switch panel is engaged. See Illustration 7. The Machine ECM uses the "Quick Coupler" Solenoid to execute the request that is received from the Switch Panel.The ECM will energize the Quick Coupler Solenoid to UNLOCK the Quick Coupler. The ECM will de-energize the Quick Coupler Solenoid to LOCK the Quick Coupler.

When a Quick Coupler LOCK request is received from the Monitor on the CAN Data Link, the ECM will de-energize the Quick Coupler Solenoid. The Quick Coupler is now locked. As the system hydraulic pressure increases, a warning level 1 event will become active. The code remains active until the Main Pump Pressure Switch contacts close indicating to the ECM that the quick coupler is LOCKED. During this time, the Monitor will indicate that the Quick Coupler is closing. The contacts will close when the system pressure reaches 6000 kPa (870 psi). The Monitor will display a "QUICK COUPLER LOCKED" message.
