Loosen the mounting screws (10) and remove the recirculation assembly (11) from the 22 mm tube assembly (9).Note: Do not discard the mounting screws. The screws will be needed in the next section for installation.

Align the mounting screw (18) for the fan adapter with the scrubber tube (17). Use one of the screws that were removed earlier. Only tighten to 0.34 N m (3 lb in).

Ensure the fan wire (23) is facing the assembler. Refer to Illustration 7. Ensure the flow direction arrow (22) is pointing towards the scrubber assembly.
Insert two mounting screws (20) through the provided slots on the baffle (25) and the cathode fan, in opposite corners. Refer to Illustration 7.

(17) Fan adaptor

Attach the fan to the adapter (17). Only tighten to 0.34 N m (3 lb in). Ensure the fan wire (23) is seated in the groove (24) in the cathode fan assembly (26).Note: Be sure not to pinch wire between the baffle (25) and the fan assembly (26).Note: The plastic fan guard is not used when the CO2 Scrubber is installed.

Insert the CO2 connector assembly (27) into the grommet (28) as shown in Illustration 9.Note: Once installed, there will be a slight angle to the CO2 connector assembly. The CO2 scrubber is now ready for installation into the enclosure.Scrubber Installation into Enclosure

(30) Scrubber cartridge
Place the scrubber cartridge (30) in the designated location as shown Illustration 10.

(31) Battery cell air tube
Push the battery cell air tube (31) aside as the cartridge is set to location. Refer to Illustration 11. The procedure is to ensure that the recirculation assembly does not tug at the air tubes.

(32) 22 mm tube assembly

Insert CO2 connector assembly (33) onto the 22 mm tube assembly (32). Align the screw holes on both subassemblies and insert the mounting screw (34). Refer to Illustration 12. Torque to 0.34 N m (3 lb in).

Attach recirculation assembly (36) to the 32 mm tube assembly (35). Align the screw holes on both subassemblies and insert the mounting screw (37). Refer to Illustration 13. Torque to 0.34 N m (3 lb in).

(40) Cathode fan plug
Connect the cathode fan plug (40) to the harness connector.Note: Installing the scrubber on a unit with installed cells, might loosen the connections between adjacent cells. Ensure that torque on the connections between nearby cells is at 2.5 N m (22 lb in).
