Start the engine.
Position the machine on level ground.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 55° 5°C (131° 9°F).
Empty the bucket.
Fully retract the bucket cylinder and fully retract the stick cylinder.
Position the bucket on the ground. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required to extend the boom cylinders to full extension.
Position the boom cylinders at full extension. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required for the bucket to come 2 m (6.6 ft) above the ground.
Refer to the specifications in Table 1 for the operating speed of the boom cylinders.Adjustment of the Boom Cylinders

In order to set the boom slow return check valve, the "Performance Test (Boom)" must first be performed.
If the cycle time of the boom cylinders was not within the specification, position spanner wrench (6) at location (4) . Position wrench (7) at location (5) . Use wrench (7) in order to hold the slow return check valve stationary. Adjust the valve by rotating spanner wrench (6) . To increase the rate of travel, rotate spanner wrench (6) in a counterclockwise direction. In order to decrease the rate of travel, rotate the spanner wrench (6) in a clockwise direction.
Repeat the procedure for "Performance Test (Boom)" in order to verify the setting.Stick Cylinder

Perform the following steps in order to test the operating speed of the stick cylinders.
