A 2P-8250 Strap Wrench 1 Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.Turn the disconnect switch OFF when draining and/or removing any fuel system components.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide", for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids in Caterpillar machines.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification on all lines, hoses, wires, and tubes for installation purposes. Use caps and plugs on all lines, hoses, and tubes to prevent fluid loss or contamination of the systems.

Using Tooling (A) remove fuel filters (5).
Remove tube assembly (1).
Disconnect hose assembly (3).
Remove bolts (2).
Remove fuel filter base (4).Installation Procedure
Install fuel filter base (4) and fuel filters (5) in the reverse order of removal.
