6V7762 Dual Hook Hoist (1) has a lifting capacity of 1800 kg (4000 lb). FT1778 Cart (2) can be made for use with hoist (1). 6V7779 Sling (3), 9S9077 Spacers (4), 9S9076 Spacers (5) and 6V7778 Brackets (6) can be used with hoist (1) to turn over engines. For use with larger engines, 6V7919 Comversion Group can be installed on hoist (1) to increase its capacity to 3600 kg (8000 lb).
Do not use accessories with weight capacities less than 3600 kg (8000 lb). Personal injury can result.
Lubrication, Maintenance And Repair
1 Before operation of the hoist, remove solid plug (1) and install breather plug (2) in its place.2 Every three months, put grease on rollers (3) and (4) and put 30W gear oil on the load chain. 1 Remove six socket head bolts (1) and remove lifting bracket (2). Remove four setscrews (3) and remove all paint from the bosses around the setscrews. Fasten lifting bracket (4) on hoist (5) as shown with eight 9/16"-18 × 70 mm (2.75") long socket head bolts, so that the number "1" stamped in the side of bracket (4) at location (A) is in alignment with the hoist at location (B). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 82 14 N m (60 10 lb-ft). 2 Remove end covers (6) and (7) from the hoist. 3 Disconnect the electrical power from the hoist. Use a screwdriver to remove metal lock (8) from the slots in red and green travel limiting wheels (9). Turn both wheels until they move to a center position on the threaded shaft. Engage metal lock (8) back in a slot of each of the travel limiting wheels. Remove both load blocks from the chain in the hoist and move the chain through the hoist until five or six links of chain are extended from the case. Make slotted chain link (10), then use the link to connect the short end of the load chain in the hoist to the 9144 mm (360") load chain of the conversion group. Make sure welded joints (C) on the links are out, away from the inside load sheave, when the load chain goes into the hoist. 4 Connect the hoist to electrical power. Depress one of the buttons of power drop (11) to move the 9144 mm (360") load chain into the hoist. When slotted link (10) comes through, remove it and the original chain. Move several additional feet of chain through the hoist.
