1 1 421-0049 Camshaft Lubricate the camshaft bearings, the journals, and the lobes with a 50/50 mixture of 8T-2998 Lubricant and clean engine oil.
The end of the camshaft that is marked "F" must be placed at the front of the engine.

A - - Diameter of camshaft journal is 84.85 0.02 mm (3.341 0.001 inch).
Use the following procedure in order to determine the camshaft lobe lift:
1. Measure the camshaft lobe height (C).
2. Measure the base circle (D).
3. Subtract the base circle measurement in Step 2 from the camshaft lobe height in Step 1. The difference is the actual camshaft lobe lift (B).
Specified camshaft lobe lift:
For inlet lobe is 9.61850 mm (0.378681 inch)
For exhaust lobe is 8.51520 mm (0.335244 inch)
For injector lobe (right blank) is 10.33685 mm (0.406963 inch).
For injector lobe (left blank) is 10.34660 mm (0.407356 inch).
The maximum permissible difference between the actual camshaft lobe lift in Step 3 and the specified camshaft lobe lift is 0.13 mm (0.005 inch).
