Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Install shaft (13) through the opening in the rear of the engine.
Install bracket (15) with the bolts.
Install shaft (14) through the opening in the rear of the engine.
Install the nut, the washers, and bolts (16) that connect shafts (13) and (14) together.
Install flange (12) onto the rear of the cylinder block.

Install rod assemblies (10) and (11) onto the fuel control shaft.

Use the bolts and washers to install covers (9) and new gaskets on both sides of the rear housing.

Install lever (8) onto plate assembly (7).
Place plate assembly (7) into position in rocker arm support (6). Install the bolts for plate assembly (7).

Install lever (3) into rod assembly (5).
Install rod assembly (5) and lever (3) as a unit.
Install bolt (4).
Place lever (3) into position on the control shaft. Install cap (2) and bolt (1).
Install the camshaft inspection covers for each side of the engine.
Adjust the fuel injection control linkage. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Fuel Control Linkage Adjustment". End By:
Install the camshaft drive gears. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Camshaft Drive Gear - Install".
Install the rocker shaft and the pushrods. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Rocker Shaft and Pushrod - Install".
