Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Lubricate O-ring seals with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install O-ring seals (18) onto transmission oil pump (17) .

Install bolts (16) and transmission oil pump (17) onto oil pump manifold (14) .

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto oil pump manifold (14), as shown. Position oil pump manifold (14) and the gasket to the transfer gear case. The weight of oil pump manifold (14) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb).
Install bolts (15) .

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install O-ring seal (12) to cover (13). Install suction screen (11) over the magnets and over screen tube assembly (10). Install suction screen (11) to cover (13) .
Install O-ring seal (8) to cover (9). Install suction screen (7), spring (6), and bolt (5) to cover (9). Tighten bolt (5) to a torque of 22 3 N m (16 2 lb ft).

Position magnetic screen assembly (2) onto the transfer gear case. Install bolts (1) .
Position screen assembly (4) onto the transfer gear case. Install bolts (3) .
Fill the transmission with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities".End By: Install the power train guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Power Train Guard (Transmission) - Remove and Install".
