Remove the engine hood.
Remove CEM cover.
Remove the counterweight.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the hydraulic fluid into a suitable container for storage or for disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Remove lower fire walls (1).

Remove upper fire wall (2).

Unbolt and remove support and door assembly (3).

Relocate fuel filter assembly (4) to one side.

Disconnect harness assembly (5) from the solenoid.

Disconnect hose assemblies (6). Remove auxiliary pump assembly (7).

Disconnect hose assemblies (9), (10), and (11).

Remove bolts (15) in order to separate suction tube assembly (16) from the pump.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to main hydraulic pump (18). Remove bolts (17). The weight of main hydraulic pump (18) is approximately 130 kg (287 lb).
Remove main hydraulic pump (18). Installation Procedure
Install main hydraulic pump (18) in the reverse order of removal.
