1. Isolate Genset before commencing any work on the unit, activate
Emergency stop, open Genset breaker, and disconnect battery cables.
Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times.
2. Locate and open the AC/DC panel box (see image 1.1.1).

3. Locate the resistor harness p/n 252-7455 (see image 1.2.1 and 1.2.2)

Image1.2.2
4. Remove the yellow and green wires connected to CAN2+ and CAN2- from the terminal strip (see image 1.3.1). In order to check if the terminating resistor is connected in the right position, use a digital multimeter to check if the reading is approximately 120 Ohms when measured across the disconnected yellow and green cables. If the reading is approximately 120 ohms no further action is required. Reconnect the wires and restore the unit to the original condition. If the reading is not 120 Omhs proceed to next step.

5. Remove the harness from the unit and remove the terminating resistor (see image 1.4.1).

6. Disassemble the connector by removing the blue cap as shown in image 1.5.1. Swap the green and copper wire using a screw driver, moving the internal clip inside the connector while puling the wire out (see image 1.5.2). Once swapped, make sure the yellow and green wire are connected to the A and B connector terminals.

7. Install the cap and the terminating resistor. Make sure the green and yellow wires are aligned with the terminator resistor pins.
8. Confirm that the resistance value is approximately 120 omhs across the green and yellow wires.
9. Install the harness and connect the yellow wire to terminal CAN2+, the green wire to terminal CAN2- and the copper wire to the CAN2-SH terminal.
10. Clear generator area, reconnect batteries, and release emergency stop.
11. Run functional No load test on Genset.
