Attach a suitable lifting device to exhaust manifold assembly (3). Exhaust manifold assembly (3) weighs approximately 136 kg (300 lb).
Remove bolts (1) and bellows assembly (2).

Position exhaust manifold assembly (3) and install bolts (4). Do not torque bolts (4) now.
Install Tooling (A) in place of the removed bellows assembly (2).
Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft).
Tighten bolts (4) again to a torque of 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft).
Remove Tooling (A) and install bellows assembly (2) that was previously removed.
Apply Tooling (B) to bolts (1) and install bolts (1).

Apply Tooling (C) to thermocouples (5). Install thermocouples (5) and tighten to a torque of 45 10 N m (33 7 lb ft).

Install shield assembly (8), shield assembly (7), and plates (6).
Repeat Step 1 through Step 10 for the opposite side of the engine.
