Section InformationThe washdown system is used to clean the asphalt off the machine. The system consists of an electric motor which drives a pump. The pump draws fluid from the tank through a filter. The washdown switch controls the motor. The pump delivers fluid to the spray wand. Excess fluid returns to the tank. This section is divided into two topics: component location and system operation. The component location segment shows the location of the input and output components of the washdown system. A brief discussion of each component is provided.An electrical schematic is used in the system operation segment to trace the flow of current through the system. The modes of operation will also be covered in the system operation segment.
