(1) Use .20" (5.0) fillet welds all around to fasten four 8F9836 Lugs (1) and two 8F9836 Lugs (2) to the right side of the radiator guard at the locations shown. (2) Drill a 1.6" Ø (41.0 Ø) hole at location (A) in the cover on the right bumper. Install 5P4426 Elbow (3) in the inlet opening on 2G2159 Dryer Group (4). Connect 2G5843 Tube (5) to elbow (3) and to dryer group (4) with 9M8406 Clip (6). Fasten dryer group (4) to lugs (1) with S509 Bolts and 5M2894 Washers. Cut a piece of 5P1251 Hose (7) 40.0" (1016.0) long. Install 8B6678 Grommet (8) inside hole (A). Put hose (7) through grommet (8) and install 7D7233 Clip (9) on hose (7). Connect hose (7) to dryer (4) with a 9M7958 Clamp. Install 5P4431 Elbow (10) on tube (5). Install 2H3940 Elbow (11) in the outlet opening of dryer (4). Connect 4D2852 Hose Assembly (12) to elbow (10) and connect 6D7998 Hose Assembly (13) to elbow (11). Remove guard (14). Put hoses (12) and (13) in position along the engine compartment and under guard (14). Disconnect the air supply line from junction block (15) (under the engine compartment) and connect it to hose (12) with 8M792 Connector (16). Install guard (14). Connect hose (13) to junction block (15) where the former supply hose was removed. Install 4H6147 Connector (17) in the bottom of dryer (4) and install 4S7606 Elbow (18) in the air compressor governor UNL opening. Connect 7D4242 Hose Assembly (19) to connector (17) and elbow (18). Connect 6G487 Wire Assembly (20) to dryer (4). (3) Use AWS E7018 Welding rods to make .12" (3.0) fillet welds all around 8D7729 Boss (21) on guard (22) and around 8D3508 Boss (23) on guard (24). Fasten hose (13) to boss (23) and to the air compressor with 6D4244 Clips (25), bolts and washers. Fasten hoses (13) and (19) and the former supply hose to boss (21) with 5P2369 Clip (26), the bolt and washer. Install 6D4247 Clip (27) and 9M8406 Clips (28). Install 6K806 Strap (29) around wire (20). (4) On machines that have the fused twin (double) wiring harness, install a 3K8782 Fuse in space (D) on 2G7118 Fuse Block (29). Connect wire (20) to spare white and black wire (30) (near the engine coolant flow switch) in the 2G6822 Wiring Harness. On earlier machines, use a separate wire to connect wire (20) to an electrically charged terminal on terminal strip (31). To make this wire, use 5P5629 Wire as needed with a 2L8076 Terminal on one end and a 5P4571 Terminal on the other end.
