Assembly Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install two seals (28) into end housing (27) .

Install bearings (26) .
Install gear (25), retainers (23), and the key (hidden) onto shaft (22) .
Install shaft (22) into housing (27) .
Install two pins (24) .

Install pin (20), gear (16), and retainers (18) and (21) onto shaft (19) .

Install gear (16) into housing (17) .
Install gasket (15) onto housing (17) .
Install bearings (14) into each side of housing (8) .
Install pins (13) to housing (8), if necessary.

Install pin (11), gear (7), and retainers (9) and (12) onto shaft (10) .

Install housing (8) .
Install gear (7) .
Install gear (4) and the key (5) (hidden).
Install gasket (6) onto housing (8) .

Install bearings (3) in housing (2) .

Install end housing (2) and eight bolts (1). Tighten eight bolts (1) to a torque of 15 2 N m (132 18 lb in).Note: Fill the pump with oil before starting the engine in order to prevent damage to the internal components of the pump.End By: Install the winch/differential lock pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Winch/Differential Lock) - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
