Power Up Checks
When you power up the AccuGrade System, observe the systems start-up sequence in order to ensure that all components function correctly.Light Bar Power Up
Observe the light bars during start-up and check that the light bars work correctly. In order to perform the light bar power up, complete the following steps:
Turn on the power to the system with the Display.
Immediately observe the pattern of the LED indicators on the light bars.
The LED indicators on the cut/fill (top) light bar flash in sequence from the bottom to the top.
The LED indicators on the left/right (center) light bar flash in sequence from left to right.
The LED indicators on the in/out (bottom) light bar flash in sequence from top to bottom.
The LED indicators on all light bars flash at the same time, twice.Machine Checks
In order to optimize AccuGrade System accuracy, complete the following checks:
Select a bucket
"Check The 3D Bucket Guidance"Note: Bucket wear is accounted for by remeasuring the bucket periodically.Check The 3D Bucket Guidance
Note: The AccuGrade System must be set for 3D Guidance.Note: An ATS or a UTS must be set up and functioning. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8501, "Systems Components". Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8501, "Advanced Tracking System".
Illustration 1 g01780446
When a single-3D system is first started, or when a single-3D machine is moved more than a very short distance, the orientation of the machine must be initialized. Until the machine orientation is initialized, guidance is not available and a warning message will be displayed. Refer to Illustration 1.
Illustration 2 g01780445
To initialize the orientation of the machine, without moving the tracks swing the upper body of the machine in one direction. As the body begins to swing, a progress bar is displayed. Refer to Illustration 2.As the initialization progresses, the fill of the bar is extended, and the fill color changes to green. The amount of rotation that is required to initialize the orientation of the machine depends on the GPS or UTS accuracy settings. The more GPS or UTS accuracy required, the further you have to swing the cab.Note: The estimated the orientation of the machine is continually calculated and updated as you swing the body while working the orientation estimate improves. If the progress bar disappears and the Rotate Machine message flashes, then the initialization has failed. If the initialization fails, repeat the initialization procedure.Always check the accuracy of the system before you start work. Compare the coordinates that are shown on the Display with the known 3D coordinates of a survey mark.In order to check accuracy, complete the following steps:
Make sure that the system is using a high accuracy GPS position.
Place the focus point of the bucket tip on the survey mark.
Check that the position that is shown on the Text screen agrees with the known position of the survey mark. This check ensures that the machine is operating with the correct GPS configuration, machine dimensions, and sensor calibrations.Note: Regularly check the accuracy of the system. This helps determine the wear on the bucket tips. Always check the
