2-2 Function
(1) Swing drive assembly Swing drive consists of a 2 step planetary reduction section and the casing which supports output pinion shaft with bearing, and the upper casing cover is directly connected to the swing motor that provides input. For rotation of the upper structure, swing drive reduces the revolutions from the swing motor to the required revolutions, and transmits revolutions from output pinion shaft to the swing bearing interior gear.(2) Functions 1. Sun gear (10) a. Transmits power meshed with planetary gear (12).b. Sliding surface with sun gear (11).c. Sliding surface with collar (42). 2. Planetary gear (12) a. Transmits power meshed with sun gear (10).b. Outer rolling surface for needle bearing (18).c. Sliding surface with thrust washer (20). * Planetary gear (13) has the same function. 3. Ring gear (9) a. Transmits power meshed with planetary gear.b. Sealing surface by liquid packing with casing cover (8), ring gear (9) or swing casing (1).c. Centering location for above.d. Casing (1) mounting bolt hole. Also provided with 2 knock pin holes and 2 eyebolt holes.* Ring gear (47) has the same function. 4. Carrier (14) a. Planetary shaft (17) inserting hole.b. This is a splined section which transmits the power from planetary gear (12) to sun gear (11).c. Has spring pin (22) insertion hole to prevent planetary gear (17) from coming off and turning. * Carrier (15) has the same function. 5. Sun gear (11) a. Transmits power meshed with planetary gear (13).b. Sliding surface with sun gear (10).c. Sliding surface with pinion shaft (4).d. Connected with carrier (14) at splined section. Secures carrier (14) in up/down direction with snaprings fit in the 2 snapring grooves. 6. Pinion shaft (4) a. Connected with carrier (15) at splined section and transmits torque.b. Mounts roller bearing (6) which supports pinion shaft.c. Mounts roller bearing (5) which supports pinion shaft.d. Sealing section with oil seal (3), and is grinder finished.e. Rotates the upper swing body by meshing with swing bearing.f. Sliding surface with sun gear (11). 7. Swing casing (1) a. Ring gear (9) mounting section consisting screw hole, mating section and seal surface.b. Roller bearing (6) outer race inserting hole.c. Roller bearing (5) outer race inserting hole and seal surface.d. Seal cover mounting section which holds bolt holes and sealing surface.e. Flange section which mounts swing bearing to swing table.8. Casing cover (8) has an oil filling port, screw holes for level gauge mounting and swing motor mounting section. When installing casing cover (8) to the body, use care for the installation direction of motor and level gauge.2-3 Operation
The swing drive assembly applies a 2 step planetary reduction. Operation system and main components forming the reduction section of each step are the same.(1) Motor shaft rotates sun gear (10) in direction A.
