If the boom pilot control is moved to the LOWER position, pilot oil will flow from the boom pilot control to the actuator piston in the control valve for the boom implement pump. This piston controls the angle of the pump swashplate. The pilot oil that is being sent to the pump actuator piston also flows to boom signal resolver (9) . The oil will shift the signal resolver. The oil will then activate the boom anti-drift valve (4) . When the boom anti-drift valve (4) is activated, the pump swashplate is allowed to upstroke the pump in the desired direction. The pilot oil also activates boom brake release pilot valve (7) . When the boom brake release pilot valve (7) is activated, oil in the pilot system is directed to the boom winch brake. When the boom winch brake is pressurized, the winch motor is able to lower the load.Boom Raise
If the boom pilot control is moved to the RAISE position, pilot oil will flow from the boom pilot control to the actuator piston in the control valve for the boom implement pump. This piston controls the angle of the pump swashplate. The pilot oil that is being sent to the pump actuator piston also flows to boom signal resolver (9) . The oil will shift the signal resolver. The oil will then activate the boom anti-drift valve (4) . When the boom anti-drift valve (4) is activated, the pump swashplate is allowed to upstroke the pump in the desired direction.
