Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the pump drive coupling.
Remove the main drive shaft.
Remove the torque converter outlet relief valve.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission System Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Remove bolts (2), adapter (1), and the gasket. Disconnect hose assembly (3) .

Remove cable strap (4) and position hose assembly (3) out of the way.
Remove hose assembly (5) .

Disconnect hose assembly (7) and hose assembly (9) .
Remove tube assembly (8) .
Remove bolts (11). Slide housing assembly (10) to the side to remove housing assembly (10) from gear pump (torque converter, transmission) (6) .

Disconnect hose assembly (12) from the top of gear pump (torque converter, transmission) (6) .

Remove bolts (13) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to gear pump (torque converter, transmission) (6). The weight of gear pump (torque converter, transmission) (6) is approximately 79 kg (174 lb).
Remove bolts (14) and nuts (15) .
Lower gear pump (torque converter, transmission) (6) and remove gear pump (torque converter, transmission) (6) from the machine. Remove the O-ring seals from gear pump (torque converter, transmission) (6) .Installation Procedure
Install gear pump (torque converter, transmission) (6) in the reverse order of removal.
