Implement control valve (16) Set screws (17) Manual actuatorsEach AUX1, AUX2, tilt, and lift solenoid contains two set screws (16). These screws mechanically limit the travel of the control spools. However, the set screws should not be used to adjust the speed of a function. The speed of the tilt, the lift, and the steering functions can be set electronically using the MD3 module.The AUX1, AUX2, tilt, and lift valves are equipped with manual actuators (17). These actuators can be used to move the spool inside the valve manually. Spool movement, even when the engine is not operating, may result in movement of the attachments, the lift arms, and/or the tilt arms.
Personal injury or death can result from sudden movement of the lift or tilt cylinders.Sudden movement up or down, can cause the clearance above your head to change rapidly.Do not stand under the lift arms when testing and adjusting the lift cylinders.Do not stand under the bucket when testing or adjusting the tilt cylinder.

When the engine start switch is in the ON position, power transfers from switched MD3 fuse (2) to terminal "C1-12" of MD3 module (6) through the 113-OR wire. This voltage provides the wake-up signal to the MD3 module.The 106-WH wire transfers power to contact "2" of the left joystick (4) and to contact "2" of the right joystick (5) .The 141-PK wire transfers power from the XA2 front fuse (3) to terminal "28" of the XA2-FF (16). This voltage signal wakes the XA2-FF.The MD3 module (6) is grounded at terminal "C1-1." The XA2-FF is grounded at terminal "15," and both of the joysticks (4) and (5) are grounded at contact "1."CAN Communication
The joysticks (4) and (5) and the XA2-FF (16) communicate with the MD3 module (6) through the CAN. K900-YL wires connect the CAN-H terminals of these devices, and K990-GN wires connect the CAN-L terminals of these devices.Note: This CAN bus is internally terminated. This system does not require external termination resistors.Steering Control
The left joystick (4) sends a signal to the MD3 module (6) through the CAN to communicate the right or left position of the joystick. This signal is proportional to the position of the joystick. The MD3 module analyzes the input signal from the joystick to determine the desired direction of turn and the desired rate of turn.Once the MD3 module (6) has calculated the desired turn direction and rate, the MD3 prompts the XA2-FF (16) to direct an analog output signal to the appropriate steering solenoid.In order to turn right, the XA2-FF (16) generates an output signal at terminal "16."
