Remove the knob from the shift lever. Remove the transmission neutral lock control, and remove the air brake and emergency knobs for the evacuation. Then remove the plate from the console.

Disconnect the cable as for the transmission (K) from the lever arm. Remove the cable from the machine.
Remove shaft (L) and bushing (M) and install a new 7F-9558 Terminal Bushing (1) and the existing shaft (L) .
Install the 8T-8496 Cable As (2) for the transmission (K) to the lever arm.

Location of boss (3) (A) 163 mm (6.42 inch) (B) 100 mm (3.94 inch)
Install a 6I-2850 Boss (3) onto the 206-3045 Angle (N) in order to route cable assembly (2) for the transmission.
Locate boss (3) 100 mm (3.94 inch) from the edge of the angle (N) .
Locate boss (3) 163 mm (6.42 inch) from the top of the fender. Fillet weld the boss (3) onto the plate.
Use a 3 mm (0.12 inch) fillet weld. Refer to Illustration 7 in order to locate the boss.

Location of boss (4) (A) 163 mm (6.421 inch) (B) 47 mm (1.9 inch)
Install an 8R-2034 Boss (4) onto the 308-1145 Fender (P) in order to route the cable assembly for the transmission.
Locate boss (4) 163 mm (6.42 inch) from the edge of the fender (P) .
Locate boss (4) 47 mm (1.9 inch) from the top of the fender (P) .
Weld boss (4) to the fender. Use a 3 mm (0.12 inch) fillet weld. Refer to Illustration 8 in order to locate the boss.

Install the 8T-8496 Cable As (2) to boss (3) and to boss (4). Use a 4K-8864 Clip (5), a 8T-4121 Hard Washer (6), and a 8T-4191 Bolt (7) .

Install yoke rod end (G) to the transmission selector valve (F). Install nut (H) and cable (J) to the transmission.

Install bolt (E) to the transmission selector valve (F) .

Adjust the cable assembly (J) at the lever and at the transmission selector valve (F) in order to ensure that all gears can be selected.Reference Refer to Testing And Adjusting, SENR5624, "Transmission Hydraulic Control Linkage - Adjust" for the adjustment procedure.
Install 2T-3757 Film to 349-1445 Shifting Plate and install the plate onto the console.

Install the transmission neutral lock control and the knobs onto the shift lever.

Install cover (D) and light (C) with 12 bolts (B) to the transmission. Install the electrical connection (A) to the clip and connect electrical connection (A) .
