( 1 ) Install the flat side of the D-Ring Seal into the groove on the housing. The round side of the seal contacts the reciprocating piston.
( 2 ) For maximum performance, use new retraction springs, guides, and pins to service the brake.
( 3 ) The former service brake group used four 118-6606 Inner Plates. The new brake group uses three 118-6606 Inner Plates and one thinner 195-3722 Outer Plate. The thinner195-3722 Outer Plate is installed against the wall of the spindle.
( 4 ) The 9M-2076 Snap Ring is used to hold the brake disc and the plates into the spindle during assembly. Remove the snap ring and discard the snap ring if you are upgrading an earlier machine to the new brake that is using the original spindle.
( 5 ) The damper plate is installed with the steel side against the piston, and the damper side against the118-6606 Inner Plate .Note: Do not pressure test the piston seals until the arrangement is completely assembled. Pressure testing of the piston seals prior to the complete assembly of the arrangement will allow excessive piston
