Removal Procedure
Raise the screed.
Set the extender to zero slope and lower the screed.

Remove bolts (1) .
Remove deflector plate (2) .

Remove nuts (3) .

Remove nuts (4) .
Start the engine and raise screed (5) off screed plate (6) .Note: Record the original location of shims.
Remove shims from screed plate (6) .
Remove studs from the screed plate.
Pull the machine FORWARD and stop the engine.
Move screed plate (6) to a safe work area.Installation Procedure

Raise the screed.

Apply Loctite 272 to the threads of the studs. Install studs in screed plate (6) .Note: Shims must be installed in the original order.
Install shims on the screed plate (6). Tighten the studs to a torque of 51 3 N m (38 2 lb ft).
Place screed plate (6) under the extender and lower the screed.
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of nuts (4). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 70 N m (52 lb ft).

Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of nuts (3). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 70 N m (52 lb ft).

Install deflector plate (2) .
Install bolts (1) .
