Illustration 1.8W-6425 Pump1. Check the Date Code on the Pump Information Plate. The format of the Date Code is two letters for each month / day / year. Each letter indicates a number (N=0, U=1, M=2, E=3, R=4, A=5, L=6, K=7, O=8, D=9). For example the Date Code NE/ML/DD = 03/26/99. Only pumps manufactured before November 1, 1999 are suspect.2. Remove the 8W-6425 Pump from the electric motor. Measure the distance from the rear cover of the pump to the end of the drive shaft as shown in Illustration 1.
