Clean the components and dry the components in the new coupling.Note: Assemble the gear and the flange at the dealer shop. It may be difficult to assemble these parts in the field.
Use bolts (2) and assemble drive gear (1) to coupling flange (6). Note: Check the shape and the orientation of plates (8) and plates (9). Make sure that the plates are installed in the correct position.
Assemble plates (8), plates (9), and bolts (7) to the flange and gear that was assembled in the previous step. Do not tighten the bolts (7) at this time.
Apply lubricant to the spline of the pump shaft and coupling flange (6). Assemble the flange to the pump shaft. Position the flange so that the end face of the flange is flush with the end of the pump shaft.
Install plate (3), bolts (10), hard washers (11), bolt (4), and hard washer (5). Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to bolt (4) and tighten to 340 50 N m (250.0 37.0 lb ft). Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to bolts (10) and tighten to 55 10 N m (40.0 7.0 lb ft).
Tighten bolts (7) to 55 10 N m (40.0 7.0 lb ft).
Install the new flange group (14) to flywheel (C). Use bolts (12) and washers (13). Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to bolts (12) and tighten to 105 20 N m (77.0 15.0 lb ft).
