The part number for the new tool is 471-0307. Only 2 alignment tools should be ordered for each work site / branch performing this update.
A new bellow and accompanying heat shield, with improved service life, have been identified. An alignment tool has been designed to use prior to assembling the new bellow and heat shield. The alignment tool and new bellow are drop-in replacements for the old bellow.
Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary and see the attached Rework Procedure to install the new bellows.

This update should be applied using the 471-0307 Alignment Tool. If the current bellows fail before the alignment tool can be acquired, a justification for why the tool could not be acquired (back order, not yet available in catalogue)must be written into the claim.
Up to a maximum of $1,188.00 USD can be claimed for a 471-0307 Alignment Tool. Two alignment tools can be claimed per branch / fleet. If it is ever required, the dealer should justify, in writing, when an alignment tool is claimed for quantities of more than 2 per branch / fleet.

Rework Procedure
Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary.
Remove old bellows. Retain clamps to use with alignment tool.

Loosen, but do not remove, all clamps for the exhaust system.

Install the alignment tool into each exhaust routing using the old clamps. Once the tool is installed, insuring alignment, tighten all the clamps to hold the exhaust routing in the new position. Once all the clamps are tightened, the alignment tool may be removed.

Install the new bellows using new 302-8136 Clamps.
