The fuel cap is located at the rear of the machine on the left side of the fuel tank.

In order to remove the fuel tank filler cap, lift lever (2). Turn the lever counterclockwise until the lever stops. The cap is removed by lifting straight up on the cap.
After removing the filler cap, remove the strainer. Clean the strainer and reinstall the strainer.
Replace the filter in the fuel cap after every six months.
In order to replace the filter in the filler cap, remove the two screws that secure filter (4) to the fuel cap. Remove filter (4), valve (5), and the gaskets.
Install new components in the reverse order.
In order to reinstall the filler cap, rotate the filler cap clockwise until three tabs (1) drop into the slots in the adapter. Rotate the lever (2) clockwise until the lever stops. Lower the lever (2) over the locking tab (3) .
