Illustration 1.The 8H8561 Adapter is used with a ratchet wrench or breaker bar to remove a pipe plug from the timing gear housing on 3204 Vehicular Engines (45V). See Illustration 2.
The FT1539 Puller is used with the FT1537 Socket and 5P8676 Extension to loosen the bolt on the timing gear and push the shaft out of the gear. See Illustration 3.

Illustration 3.For 3204 Vehicular Engines (10X), the FT1540 Puller is used to remove the plug (with tapped center hole) from the timing gear cover. Then, the FT1538 Puller, FT1537 Socket and 5P8676 Extension are assembled and installed in the engine. See Illustration 4. They are used to loosen the bolt and push the shaft out of the gear. See Illustration 5.
